Marriage Affirmation Ritual

This ritual can be used to reaffirm marriage vows or any other relationship promises. It is important that the ritual be seen as sacred between partners to have the full effect.

Preparation:

• (Optional) Buy apples

Tools/Material Needs:

• (Optional) An apple
• a quiet, sacred place to perform the ritual in
• A script/written copy of the vows/promises. (Ex. in a family grimoire)

Ritual:

1. Sit together on the floor in the sacred place in comfortable positions.
2. With one hand, hold hands with your partner. With the other hand, hold the script/written copy together.
3. Read the vows line by line together. If they are long vows you can also alternate reading the lines to one another.
4. (Optional) Both/all parties take a bit from the apple together to signify the bond.
5. End with an affirming statement (i.e. "It is done" or other)
6. (Optional) Share a kiss :)
