Release from Anxiety Ritual
From Nontheistic Ritual
This ritual is for those of us who struggle to function under the pressures of anxiety. It is intended to soothe some worry and bring the practitioner back to the present moment.
Ritual:
(Say the following lines in double quotes (" ") out loud or in your head as appropriate.)
"I see my anxious thoughts and the sensations of my body".
"I thank them for keeping alert and aware of that around me and aware of the future"
"I bring myself again to the present & release my anxious thoughts and sensations"
Take a full, deep breath. Take multiple if very anxious.
"I affirm my agency"
(Optionally) "It is done", "Hail Satan", or other concluding call.
